The Merrimack Valley YMCA operates two residential camps on Bear Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire: Camp Lawrence for Boys and Camp Nokomis for Girls. In addition we also run a Family Camp for 9 days at the end of the summer.
Camp Otter is a YMCA Day Camp located on Captain's Pond in Salem, New Hampshire for boys and girls ages 6- 13.
In 2007, the Merrimack Valley YMCA celebrated 100 years of camping!
We are excited to be collaborating with some wonderful camp people who will be hosting events in honor of the Centennial.

Camping Services Branch Mission Statement
The Camping Services Branch and its camps, in support of the Merrimack Valley YMCA's Mission, provides youth and family camping experiences within a safe, supportive and inclusive community in a natural setting. The camps foster the spiritual, emotional and physical development of campers and staff, teaching the values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty while developing leadership, sportsmanship and creativity. Our camps welcome returning campers, youth and families who reside in the Merrimack Valley YMCA's service area and the communities that host the camps, and others who have an interest in our mission and programs.
Criteria for Acceptance and Participation in Camping Programs
Acceptance and participation in all Merrimack Valley YMCA Camping Programs is the same for everyone regardless of gender, race, handicap, religion, creed, color or national origin.

Camp Accreditation
All three camps are accredited by the American Camp Association, are licensed by the state of New Hampshire, and operate in accordance with the YMCA of the USA policies.
