Welcome All
Diversity at your YMCA
Diversity is the mosaic of people who bring a variety of backgrounds, styles, perspectives, beliefs and competencies as assets to the YMCA groups and individuals with whom they interact.
The Merrimack Valley YMCA, and all its branches, is characterized by principles and practices which acknowledge that diversity encompasses all races, gender, color, religion, ethnic origin, lifestyles, physical/mental ability, age, economic status and other cultural differences.
The YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. We welcome women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities and financial circumstances. YMCA programs and branches embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the community we serve.
We celebrate the broad dimensions of diversity which make up our YMCA.
Everyday, we strive to create an environment of inclusion of people of many diverse backgrounds. In this way we recognize and appreciate the intrinsic value of all people within our community.
As we enter the 127th year of service, the Merrimack Valley YMCA finds energy and direction in the voices of our community that expect the YMCA to remain significant, relevant and viable.
We are committed to fulfilling our mission through practices of inclusion, and will strive to ensure that the rich gifts of diversity are reflected, respected, and celebrated at all levels.
You’re welcome at the Merrimack Valley YMCA.
