The Merrimack Valley YMCA is proud to be able to continue its mission to help children and teenagers grow up with the positive values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA is a viable community resource, providing opportunities for families to participate together in recreational and educational programs that build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

Each year, thousands of community youth learn to swim in our aquatics programs; play and compete in our basketball and volleyball leagues, gymnastics and swim teams; participate in our physical classes; and learn new skills in our special interest classes. The YMCA's preschool and before and after school child care programs have made us the largest child care provider in the area. And, our many community services, from drug awareness programs and family counseling to tutoring assistance and YMCA Teen Nights, are all designed to give our youth a safe place they can turn to in a challenging social environment.

Our annual 'Reach Out For Youth & Families' Campaign ensures that no one is denied the opportunity to share in the YMCA experience due to an inability to pay.

The YMCA is the largest human care agency in the Merrimack Valley, serving some 33,000 people each year. Our focus on the family and youth is demonstrated by affordable programs and services that respond directly to the needs of the community we serve.

We provide over $580,000 annually in YMCA financial assistance and youth scholarships to subsidize community youth and family programs.
Nearly 5,000 children participate in the Lawrence Branch YMCA's youth programs with over 200 children participate in the after school program each day.
The expanded Andover-North Andover Branch YMCA serves some 22,000 community residents and their Child Care Program has grown to more than 800 children per day.
Our Camping Services Branch provides 1,500 youngsters from around the world with challenging outdoor educational and recreational activities.

Many of those who participate in our programs do so at little or no cost. The YMCA is commited to providing quality programs and services to all regardless of ability to pay. Once again, we're asking for your help and financial support to continue our mission of shaping young lives for positive growth.
