Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union continues its generous support of the YMCA's annual Reach Out for Youth & Families Campaign
The Merrimack Valley YMCA has received a generous donation of $10,000 to support its annual ‘Reach Out For Youth and Families' campaign. The support comes from one of its long time partners Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union and will provide needed financial assistance to families so they may participate in the YMCA's programming including after school child care, sports teams, camping programs and other health and wellness activities.
"We are proud of our partnership with the Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union. Thanks to their support we are able to be there for children and families when they need us most. Our staff team truly appreciates the effort put in by Credit Union employees to raise these dollars on our behalf and we look forward to putting these funds to work to deliver much needed programs and services," said Stephen C. Ives, Merrimack Valley YMCA President/CEO.
In addition, the Credit Union has announced it will expand its support in 2009 with the formal sponsorship of the Teen Leadership Programs, a popular curriculum focused on academic achievement, leadership development, and the improvement of social skills in teens. President/CEO Peter Matthews commented, "We re excited to be supporting the teen programs in 2009. We've been an advocate and supporter of the Y for several years now, but not with a direct impact on one particular program."
