CONVERSE HELPS YMCA CHILDREN GET READY FOR SCHOOL
Merrimack Valley YMCA kids are heading back to school in style! Employees of Converse in North Andover generously filled 200 Converse backpacks with back-to-school supplies which were given to pre-school, school-age and high school students enrolled in the Y's child care and afterschool programs. This is the third year that Converse has made this donation to the YMCA's child care program.
"What a wonderful treat for students as they go back to school. We are so appreciative to Converse for this generous donation. They certainly put smiles on the faces of our children and teens as they prepared to go back to school this fall," said Amanda Enos, Lawrence YMCA's senior program director of child care.
Pictured are Converse employees with some YMCA children holding their new backpacks filled with school supplies. The children are Marieli Torres (girl in pink), Yaniece De Jesus, Jann Rigual (boy in orange) and Josue Mercado.
