YMCA Youth & Government Program
Youth and Government uses the YMCA core values to teach teens in grades 9-12 how they can participate in the democratic process. Participants have opportunities to develop skills, make friends and learn how they can make a difference
The mission of Massachusetts YMCA Youth & Government is to provide a vehicle to teach YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, character development and leadership skills while practicing dedication to the values of democracy.
The motto of YMCA Youth & Government is "Democracy must be learned by each generation," We work toward that goal by teaching that every person can make a difference and that understanding and participating in government is for everyone.
