Wellness at the YMCA  – building a strong spirit, mind and body


We’ve been involved with health and fitness since we began in 1880. But health and fitness mean something quite different today than they did back then. Today, thousands of members use the Y to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They use our weights and exercise equipment. They take aerobics classes. They do laps in our swimming pools. They plan time as a family and participate in our family nights. Our health and wellness classes help all people achieve and maintain a active lifestyle. Members can choose from a variety of classes -- for parents and children exercising together, for persons who consider themselves new to exercise, for youngsters taking their first learn-to-swim classes, for teens who want to learn proper strength and conditioning techniques, for those who want total body conditioning, flexibility and endurance in our Pilates and Yoga classes; and for older active adults who want to make health and fitness a priority.
