Dear Valued Members and Families of the Merrimack Valley YMCA,
The health and well-being of our members, families and staff is our highest priority, always.
In accordance with the Governor’s directive to remain closed for three weeks, we will be extending our closing date until April 6th.
Currently, while there are no suspected or confirmed cases of Coronavirus in our YMCAs, we are taking great care and following current recommendations from our federal, state and local government agencies and the CDC.
A Great Way to Stay Connected
Staying active and maintaining “connections” is vital. For our Health & Wellness members, we are offering a great way to stay connected. Even though our branches are closed, we invite you to JOIN US ONLINE and become part of Y360, a new virtual initiative led by Ys across the country. It features group exercise classes you can begin today. It’s your favorite classes, top instructors and the Y community now available to you at home. We are exploring additional virtual and social online wellness opportunities.
Addressing Food Insecurity
The Merrimack Valley YMCA is expanding its food service to help those most in need in our community during the COVID-19 outbreak.
- We are holding a food and personal care item drive at the Andover/North Andover YMCA this Wednesday, 3/18 and next Wednesday, 3/25 from 4:00 to 6:30pm.
- Beginning Wednesday, March 18th we will be distributing “Grab and Go” suppers from the Lawrence YMCA to continue to feed our youth and teens who came to the Lawrence Y for evening meals. These will be available Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and with an additional meal available on Friday for the weekend.
- The Lawrence Y Food Pantry will maintain its regular hours on Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
Please consider an all-important financial contribution to the Lawrence YMCA Food Pantry.

We will reopen at first chance, and hope that you will find it in your heart to continue to support us.
With new developments occurring constantly, we are continuing to navigate our way through this in the best way we can. As news surrounding attempts to contain the Coronavirus (or COVID-19) develop, we will continue to update you on all important decisions.
