Coaches shared their knowledge and expertise and students shared their ideas for future programs at the Y in the very first session of Merrimack Valley YMCA University. The program, which took place this summer, offered Y staffers the opportunity to take their careers to the next level. Y leaders acted as coaches in the program, which offered lessons in budgeting, philanthropy, program development, diversity and inclusion, personal leadership development and more. For their final project, participants (who work in different areas of the Y including aquatics, wellness and childcare) gave presentations on new or reimagined programs at the Y.
